Pottery course level 1 for beginners 6 weeks (Tuesday 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.)
3-hour course, once a week for 6 weeks.
From March 4 to April 8.
On Thursday, April 24, an end-of-session 5-7 evening will be planned for the presentation of pieces between students. Cocktails and bites will be on the menu!
This course is for any beginner who wants to learn or improve their basics of pottery through throwing. At the end of the course, you will have made several pieces that you will keep proudly.
Lesson plan
Lesson 1:
- Introduction to the art of pottery,
- Description of the different stages of making pottery,
- Learning the basics of turning (kneading, centering the clay, assembling the walls),
- Making 3-4 small pots,
Lesson 2:
- Learning the gestures of turning,
- Turning of course 1 parts,
Lesson 3:
- Back to the centering of the clay and the assembly of the walls,
- Turning a small cup, small pot or bowl,
Lesson 4:
- Turning of course 3 parts,
- Making handles for cups,
- Filming of a few pieces (depending on the time available),
Lesson 5:
- Turning of course 4 parts,
- Production of handles, facings and engraving,
Lesson 6:
- Enameling with glaze and underglaze.
You will have access to all workshop equipment.
Everything is included to perfect your learning, including clay, glazes and firings.
The courses are made up of small groups of students to allow for personalized support. We will advise and support you in your learning.
It is recommended to have short nails, to wear clothes that will possibly get dirty with clay and aprons are provided.

Workshops and courses can be refunded 48 hours before the scheduled date of the workshop or the start date of the course session or free workshops.
No refund is possible once the course session or the free workshop session has started. It is only possible to move the course or the free workshop to a future session. It is also possible to exchange the amount for an in-store purchase.
